Last month, we ran a paid campaign on Facebook to increase page 'likes'. We ran the campaign for a week and received over 500 likes! A wonderful result, which has prompted us to re-advertise again on Monday 19th July, the week prior to market day.
Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly.
The color advert is 13 x 6cm and will be distributed in the following areas: Altona; Altona Meadows; Altona North; Braybrook; Brooklyn; Footscray; West Footscray; Kingsville; Laverton; Maidstone; Maribyrnong; Newport; Seddon; Spotswood; Williamstown and Yarraville.
That's over 60,000 homes in a brilliant part of Melbourne - very eclectic and diverse pockets of communities in the west that embrace markets! The advert will come out on the 20th July.
We have also been in contact with the following media associations:
Metropolitan Newspapers:
Q Magazine; The Australian; The MX.
Suburban Newspapers:
Hobsons Bay Leader; Hobsons Bay Weekly; Melbourne Leader; Moonee Valley Leader.
Metropolitan Radio:
3ZZZ; Fox FM; Joy FM; Nova 100; PBS FM; SEN; Triple M Melbourne; Triple M FM 102.7.
Metropolitan Television:
Channel Nine Melbourne; Channel Seven Melbourne; Channel 10 Melbourne; Channel 31 Melbourne; ABC Television; SBS Television.
This month, we were fortunate enough to be featured in Q Magazine.
'Q MAGAZINE, was launched in March 2004 as Melbourne's most stylish, smart, sexy and fun publication. This successful formula has delivered readership growth and loyalty, unmatched by any other gay publication in today’s market.
Melbourne focused, Q MAGAZINE is proudly 100% gay owned and operated - providing our readers with the best in lifestyle, reviews, views and information.
Each issue of Q MAGAZINE gives our readers a broad range of resources; from entertainment, theatre, and the scene, to fashion, trends, and travel, to health, special events, and technology, to youth issues, dating, and beauty - and much much more. We want our readers to live life, celebrate our lifestyle, and enjoy Q MAGAZINE.'
I have included the link below… We are very grateful for their wonderful write up!

Also, we have invested in 2 extra large market banners for the front gates of the school. Website details are included on the artwork.
We have also organised 10,000 fridge magnets with our logo (round) and website address printed on them. Fingers crossed we’ll have them by market day and I ask that stall holders display and offer them to their clients.
Further to this, we continue our monthly precinct marketing activities:
We will be will be distributing 5,000 market postcards detailing the dates and venue of the market, to selected streets in the Kensington and Flemington precincts.
Rendina Real Estate continues their wonderful support with 2 large real estate boards at both gates of Kensington Primary School.
We will continue quarterly advertising space (Winter Edition) in the Kensington/Flemington newspaper which covers all of the Kensington and Flemington areas (and a few surrounding streets).
New market posters printed and they have been placed in the Kensington and Flemington shopping precincts along with market postcards in selected stores.
On market day, volunteers and Committee members will hand out flyers to people in the Kensington Shopping Strips, namely Macaulay and Bellair Streets. We will also have chalk signage on the main roads, along with bunting and balloons at the front gates.
